Features
10th Annual Canada Day Parade | Free
Participate in the most colourful parade ever! The Carnival Band and
spectacular stilt dancers will lead all sorts of characters around the
Island, starting at Ocean Construction Supplies and ending at Ron
Basford Park for the Official Canada Day Ceremony. Get ready to cheer!

Make sure you exercise those vocal chords so you can belt out our
national anthem loud and proud! Starts with the anthem and ends with
Canada Day cake compliments of the Dockside Restaurant.

The Number 14 Presented by Axis Theatre and Granville Island | Free
Vancouver’s finest performers strut, swing, sing and talk their way in and out of adventures aboard Vancouver’s #14 bus that is part Monty Pythonesque, part Mr. Bean and wholly engaging for all ages. A special one-hour performance just for Canada Day! Limited tickets. First come, first served. Pick up tickets at the Waterfront Theatre on July 1, 10 am - 2:30 pm.

This great big Canadian party will be going on all over the Island, and you
can make sure that party is going on in your mouth, too!
Truly Canadian Pancake Breakfast and Great Canadian Barbeque
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and seeing as Canada
Day is one of the most important days of the year, why not eat a Truly
Canadian Breakfast at the Dockside Restaurant in the Granville Island
Hotel? For $8.00, you can enjoy Canadian bacon, fresh pancakes, and
real maple syrup! $1 from each meal goes to Canuck Place. After those
pancakes have settled, come back for lunch and enjoy a Canada Day
patio BBQ!

Glass Making Workshops
Join the artists on Canada Day and make your very own glass flower! Just purchase a ticket at the front counter, you’ll be given a time slot (approx. 20 minutes), and then you can make magic happen! Ages 14 and up, those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, details available in store.

Maple Leaf Mania | Free
On Granville Island there are hundreds of artists, and on Canada Day, you can be one of them! Make your very own maple leaf design with the help of artists from Salt Water Studio and paint supplied by Kroma Artists Acrylics and display it on a special tree. At the end of the day, hand-picked jurors from Michael Dean Design, The Hangout Place, and Justin Stitches will hand-pick the best leaf. The winner will receive a t-shirt with their design silk-screened on it courtesy of Justin Stitches.

Mirandas will heat up the festival with spectacular stilt dancing igniting our imaginations. Anything can happen on Granville Island so watch out for larger than life characters and wacky clowns that entertain the child within us all.
