Rain or Shine

Whether you're a kid looking to expand your toy collection, or an adult looking for a gift for the kid who has everything, this is the place you want to go.

There's lots to see and do on Granville Island for kids of all ages, from shopping and learning to just having fun. Start at the Kids Market, the world's only market devoted to kids, and let the fun begin!

The Kids Market, a former paint factory, has 25 shops that sell items such as wooden toys, children's art supplies, colourful kites, lifelike puppets, stuffed animals, baby things, glitzy costumes, and handmade clothes. There's also a beauty salon and a giant indoor play area called the Adventure Zone. And a 50-year-old Canadian Pacific caboose (now a bakery for dogs & cats) greets visitors at the front entrance.

But there's more... see our Top Ten For Kids list for more great ideas!

Fun is everwhere on the Island.

Granville Island also offers several programs for kids. Check out the Carousel Theatre Company & School, the False Creek Community Centre, and the Vancouver International Writers Festival for more information.
