The Plywood Cup
This event may expose Canada’s worst handyman (or woman); then again, it might just expose Canada’s best! Four teams of 18 will have 90 minutes to build boats using plywood, duct tape, nails, and a few hand tools, and one member will navigate the vessel across False Creek and back. Prizes will be awarded for raising the most money for charity, the first boat to finish, and the best design. Come on out to cheer on your favourite team, or to watch how many vessels stay afloat and how many navigators end up taking a plunge in False Creek! For more information, visit www.progressbc.org.
