7th Annual Walking Fish Festival

10th Annual Plywood Cup
This event may expose Canada’s worst handyman (or woman); then again, it might just expose Canada’s best! 16 teams have four members each and are given limited resources: two large sheets of plywood, one 8 ft 2x2, a hammer, 125 nails, 30 ft of Duct Tape a saw, a ruler and a pencil and 90 minutes in which to build a vessel of unique design that one team member will paddle across False Creek and then back. Come on out to cheer on your favourite team, or to watch how many vessels stay afloat and how many navigators end up taking a plunge in False Creek! For more information, visit www.progressbc.org.

The Granville Island Farmers Market is back and better than ever! Come get a taste of some of the best produce BC has to offer, every Thursday throughout the summer starting on June 18. Flower Drum Song
Vancouver Asian Canadian Theatre presents Rodger’s and Hammerstein’s Flower Drum Song. A New Brain
Pipedream Theatre Project is proud to present the western Canadian premiere of the critically acclaimed new musical A New Brain! Written by William Finn and James Lapine, A New Brain is loosely autobiographical and deals directly with Finn’s own harrowing personal experience with arteriovenous malformation (a congenital defect of the brain). The Supermusical
The Supermusical presented by Once Upon a Theatre and the Broadway Chorus hilariously spoofs the superhero genre, as gamma-ray-irradiated fashion icon Lance LeCroix discovers he has the power to control static electricity. He joins forces with Mama Nature, Without-a-Tracy, Aquatica, and the Incredible Herc in an attempt to stop supervillains from taking over the city. But when aliens from another planet (that's the best kind) intend to destroy the world, our superheroes get a new, more dangerous priority. Watch out 'N Sync, the Altar Boyz are coming to town! Matthew, Mark, Luke, Juan, and Abraham-the gefilte fish out of water can sing and dance with the best of them, and these heartthrobs want to praise the Lord with funk and rhyme.
