The workspace of artist Jean Kares, TextileContext Studio is among Vancouver’s few galleries that regularly exhibit contemporary textile art. Asian art and philosophy inspire Kares to combine techniques such as dyeing, printing, and stitching to create dramatic, visually rich juxtapositions of pattern and colour that lend grace to any home.
